Name (English): Bee
Name (Japanese): ビー
Age: 14 (In her time)
Birthday: February 15
Est. creation time: October 2012
Likes: Being a princess, shopping, big groups of kids, cold/relaxing places, styling hair, and collecting fans.
Dislikes: Being called heavy, fat, short, bossy, or spoiled, disrespectful subjects, spiders, bats, snakes, cockroaches, frogs, mice, lizards, octopuses, squids, and anything undead.
Relationships with other characters:
*King Dedede: Bee’s father. King Dedede claims Bee as Castle Dedede’s heir. Bee takes her position very seriously. King Dedede tends to over-pamper Bee. If she asks for a Maxim Tomato, King Dedede will have the Waddle Dees gather a hoard of tomatoes. As a result, Bee is somewhat spoiled. Even though he’s now aware of this, he still has a hard time saying no to her. One exception being her command to let her rule Dream Land early. Bee fears that she’ll be as fat as her dad one day.
*Grill: Bee’s mother. While they don’t hate each other, they are somewhat distant. Bee doesn’t seem to take Grill seriously as either her mother or the queen of Dream Land. Grill is bothered by this, but doesn’t admit it because she feels like Bee doesn’t need her. Grill travels a lot, so they don’t see each other too often. This is especially true in a scenario where Trik also exists in which they don’t even live together. Bee rarely shows signs of missing her mom, but King Dedede worries she does and she just won’t admit it…
*Trik: In a scenario where they can co-exist, they are half-siblings. While they don’t live together, they get along well. Trik never sees Bee as spoiled unless someone points it out to him. Since Trik gets along with Bee and Grill, he wishes they’d spend more time together. Trik often visits Bee when he wants to avoid trouble from his parents. Bee doesn’t seem to be bothered by this. Bee usually turns to Trik when she feels depressed as he is almost always able to make her laugh.
*Madoria: Bee’s best friend. (Or so she claims.) They’ve been friends since they were very young and they can usually catch up on things quickly and easily when they haven’t seen each other in awhile. Because Bee’s father has fought both of Madoria’s parents, he occasionally suspects Madoria of possibly backstabbing Bee or being friends with her only because Bee always has enough money to shop. Because of Madoria’s friendly nature, both her and Bee insist that that’s not the case.
*Kirby: They don’t see each other very often, but they know each other well by reputation. Bee occasionally challenges Kirby to a Gourmet Race or a Star Stacking match. Bee is aware of the fact that Kirby’s been protecting Dream Land since before she was born. As opposed to King Dedede, Bee has never seen Kirby as a rival and actually seems to highly respect him.
Powers: She is able to inhale and exhale enemies, but isn’t able to copy their abilities just like King Dedede. She can’t puff up to fly like her father can. Because of this, Grill has taught her how to fly a broom. She is also skilled at Star Stacking like her mother and her blocks are unusually heavy similar to her father’s Blobs in Avalanche. However, she is embarrassed by this so she rarely uses her Star Stacking magic. She can fight with a Japanese fan and it’s her main weapon.
Additional info: Bee is a spoiled and serious girl from the future who has followed a time traveler to the past (our present) to avoid being left out of whatever Trik and Madoria are up to. Her father over-pampered her when she younger. As a result, she’s as much of a jerk as he is. (Maybe even jerkier!) She does still have a soft side, however. She is willing to help other heroes when a greater evil is loose in Dream Land. She also appears to care for her servants even though she’s usually hard on them. Her mother does not live with her in a scenario where she and Trik can co-exist, but Grill has promised Bee that she’d visit whenever she wanted her to. Bee takes full advantage of this promise, but appears to be annoyed and even embarrassed when Grill comes by uninvited. While Bee is very proud of her appearance, she’s a little insecure about her body. She fears that she’ll be fat like her dad and short like her mom when she’s older.
Fun facts!: Bee’s name was partially chosen by my younger brother. He created a son for King Dedede and Grill and his name sounds like two letters similar to King Dedede’s name sounding like three D’s. (3D pun not intended.) So my brother suggested I do that with one letter. Needless to say, I chose “B.” B could be spelled in many different ways. Be, Bee Bea, Bi, I wasn’t sure which one to use. My brother suggested “Bee” probably for no particular reason, but I agreed because it looked the cutest to me. Another reason I named her Bee is because it could be short for common royal names like “Beauty” or “Beatrix.” (Though her name would have to be spelled Bea for this.) Many of Bee’s character traits reminded my brother of Priscilla from Monster Tale. At the time he told me this, I hadn’t fully decided if Bee would use a fan or not. After he told me that, I felt like I shouldn’t give her a fan so they wouldn’t be too alike. Though my brother convinced me that it was a good thing. So I still gave her a fan in the end.
If she becomes popular enough, I will create an ask and roleplay blog for her.
